Usually a good atmosphere in this bar. The only thing that lets it down (ironically, for a German themed bar) is the lack of decent beer! If you can see past that, you'll have a decent time and it won't be long before you're up dancing on the tables with the rest of the clientele 🙂

Went on Saturday as a large group for a 21st birthday. Good atmosphere but the DJ was absolutely horrendous. Not expecting Pete Tong but at least the ability to mix songs into each other rather than just play both songs out of sync and at the same volume for 10 seconds. Had my ears bleeding

Assaulted by bouncers all because my partner suddenly lost consciousness and I was trying to give him CPR they dragged him from the floor and when he came round got his hands behind his back with force. We weren't drunk nor were we causing any problems. When i was trying to explain the issue a woman bouncer Strangled me and dragged me down by my hair. There was no need for the violence they distributed and I have had to report assault with the police. Do not go here as god forbid if anyone needs emergency medical assistance you will die luckily my partner is fine but things could of been very different

We arrived as a group of 7, had no problem getting an area, the problem was the small bar next to the men's toilets. There was a blonde girl dressed in a plaid outfit with a Yorkshire/Manchester accent. My friend who is Nigerian was trying to order a drink, she was not listening to him, was extremely rude and said "mate we've got loads of mixers, you've got to order you're drink right and sighed" there was no queue at this point. She was radioing through for an ice cube. a literal ice cube. It was like she was treating him differently, and I believe it was because of his skin colour. I ordered a desperado and she was nice as pie to me. She should work on her attitude towards customers and especially do some training on unconscious bias. We will not be visiting your establishment ever again

Enjoy a stein and a dance on the benches here. Love that it doesn't take itself so seriously. Always plays good music to dance to.

Bouncers took my phone and ID provided multiple forms of Id and refused to give either back. Bouncers are super aggressive and rude and so are the staff.The bar wait is ridiculous and the place is absolutely filthy not to mention the stench of vomit one of the worst bars in Newcastle

Refused to let us in because we wernt 'students' Rudly asked one of our older members for her 'bus pass' utter disrespect. Were expecting supposidly '700' students... town was dead,no students in sight let alone '700' do u even want business? That's fine we spent our hundreds elsewhere. Pure joke.
